Welcome to SlaveCamLive

Welcome

If you’ve found your way here, chances are you’re looking for answers. Maybe you’re curious about BDSM. Maybe you’re searching for people who actually live this lifestyle. Or maybe you simply wandered in by accident.

Whatever brought you here, we’re glad you came.

We’re Elias and Jacqueline.  We went by Malakye and Essence when the original The Curious Commons website existed.  We have grown beyond those names into who we are now.

We’re just two imperfect people whose story didn’t end where we thought it would.

This website wasn’t created because we believe we’ve mastered anything. Quite the opposite.

We’ve made mistakes.

We’ve hurt each other.

We’ve misunderstood one another.

Life has taken us in directions neither of us expected. At one point, our paths separated completely, and for years we wondered if we’d ever find our way back to what mattered most.

Somehow, life had other plans.

We found each other again, older, a little wiser, and carrying the lessons that only time can teach.

Like many people, we’ve learned that love doesn’t erase mistakes. Trust isn’t built overnight. Relationships don’t survive because they’re perfect. They survive because two people are willing to keep showing up, keep talking, keep learning, and keep choosing each other.

That’s probably the most important thing we can share.

We’re not here to convince anyone that our relationship is the “right” way. Every Dominant and submissive relationship is different, and every dynamic should be built around the people living it.

What we can offer is honesty.

This site is simply our journey.

Some chapters are beautiful. Others are painful. We wouldn’t erase either, because each one helped shape the people we are today.

Some days we’ll write about collars, protocols, service, power exchange, and the dynamics that shape our relationship.

Other days we’ll write about the ordinary moments that make up a life together, making dinner, paying bills, celebrating victories, working through disagreements, traveling, growing older, and everything in between.

Because BDSM doesn’t happen in a vacuum.

It’s lived one day at a time.

One of the biggest misconceptions about this lifestyle is that it’s only about what happens during a scene.

For us, it has always been about trust.

About responsibility.

About choosing each other every day, especially on the days when it would have been easier not to.

Every relationship is different.

Every dynamic is different.

We aren’t here to tell anyone that our way is the right way. We’re simply sharing the life we’ve lived together, the lessons we’ve learned, and the perspective that only experience can bring.

If something in our story helps someone else along the way, then opening our lives will have been worthwhile.

If our experiences help someone better understand consensual power exchange, we’ll be happy.

If our successes encourage you, wonderful.

If our failures help you avoid making the same mistakes we did, even better.

We’re still learning.

We’re still growing.

And we’ll never pretend otherwise.

Everything you’ll read here is real.

Sometimes it will be inspiring.

Sometimes it will be uncomfortable.

Sometimes we’ll look back and wish we’d handled something differently.

But we’ll tell it anyway.

Because someone else might need to hear it.

So welcome.

Pull up a chair, stay awhile, ask questions if you’d like, and walk this journey with us.

None of us have it all figured out.

We’re simply sharing the path we’ve traveled, and the one we’re still walking together.
